An intelligent card provided with a microchip used as a means of payment in cash for goods and services. Unlike debit cards, the amount is not charged against the current account at each payment, but the user has paid in advance the amount available on the card that is being consumed with each operation. The electronic purse or cash card can be recharged at the ATMs of banks or on a personal ATM.
